**About the role**

We currently have 2 fantastic opportunities for a Kitchen Assistant on day or afternoon shift to join the team at DON in Castlemaine, Victoria.

This role is a casual role (with the possibility of going permanent) and has an immediate start, working Monday to Friday (6:00am - 2:00pm or 3:30pm - 8:30pm) with the potential of picking up extra shifts where needed.

Your duties may include: Food preparation, basic cooking, customer service, cleaning & dishwashing, stock replenishment and some heavy lifting.

**The ideal applicant will have**:

- Solid experience in a similar position, including food preparation and customer service
- Excellent communication skills and professional presentation
- Thorough understanding of OH&S and Food Safety practices
- A high attention to detail with a hands on approach
- Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- Catering experience is a bonus.
