Since 2007, we have been catering for every pet care need, including adoption, products, grooming and health care through an in-house veterinary clinic, Our Vet.

The Opportunity

The Best Friends Accelerated Learning Program is a 16 week program that will teach and train you the trade of bathing and grooming dogs. The program requires a commitment for a minimum 3 days a week - Tuesdays and Wednesdays (training and theory days) and an additional minimum 1 day a week working in your home store salon putting your training into practice (opportunity to work more days may be available depending on your home store).

After successfully completing the program, there may be opportunities to join the Best Friends team in a casual, permanent (part or full time) capacity as a Groomer.

What you'll need

A passion for pets and providing excellent care and attention to both pets and pet parent.
Excellent dog handling skills and breed knowledge.
Able to lift up to 20kg on a regular basis.
Able to work 3 days a week - Tuesdays and Wednesdays (training and theory) and a minimum of 1 additional day working in salon.

As part of the recruitment process, you will be asked to complete a Grooming Skills Assessment.
