**The Opportunity**

Our Australian Steel Markets business is looking for a Health, Safety and Environment Professional to support our Brisbane and regional sites.

Working as part of a large national safety team you will have the opportunity to be part of an organisation who is always focused on ensuring we are up to date with new methods and advancements in Safety, Health and Wellbeing.

**What Will You Do?**

With responsibility for multiple sites across Brisbane and our regional network, you will collaborate with our frontline management teams to coach, develop, and support our manufacturing business to achieve its health and safety requirements. In this dynamic role, where no day is the same, you will be exposed to a variety of different risk profiles - providing you with the opportunity to enhance and grow your expertise. You will:

- oversee governance requirements, supporting the team with conducting and reporting due diligence activities
- support implementation of BlueScope’s Health, Safety and Environment plan
- coach and support leaders to understand their risk profile and critical controls, and actively seek higher levels of control
- deliver HSE advice to our leaders, thinking beyond the quick fix, to promote continual improvement in the engagement of people and management of risk
- oversee serious incident investigations, facilitating engagement to understand how work is done and adoption of fit for purpose solutions
