**Tasmania Tin Operations** **Renison Mine** **About Bluestone** Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture Pty Ltd, is Australia’s largest Tin producer. Bluestone is a well-established, high yield tin producer with a strong resource base supporting a mine life in excess of 10 years. The Renison mine is located on Tasmania’s beautiful West Coast between the towns of Zeehan and Rosebery. **About the mine** Renison is currently experiencing an exciting phase of development, characterised by a robust "Life of Mine Plan" and an ongoing commitment to capital reinvestment. This strategic approach is designed to enhance health, safety, environmental sustainability, and operational efficiency. Our mission is to be a sustainable, efficient, capable, disciplined, and respected tin producer, continuously striving for operational excellence and optimization. **About the role** As a participant of the 12-week Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture Vacation Student Program you will gain exposure to underground mining and surface operations and will work in teams that will assist your continual learning and growth within a supportive and mentored environment. The program intends to employee students studying in areas of Mining and Mineral Process Engineering, Metallurgy, Geology and Information Technology and Computer Science. This experience is offered on residential and or drive in, drive out basis. **Core responsibilities** - Support and actively participate as a member of your respective team - Develop a working knowledge of complex processing operations and underground mining - Contribute to projects and day-to-day duties and tasks - Develop, implement and manage projects as required - Learn and adhere to safety protocols and standards while collaborating with other team members to ensure that role requirements and safety measures are communicated and met - Work closely with processing, mining and geology teams, as well as other professionals in the mining operation to effectively communicate, exchange information, share insights, and contribute to a cohesive working environment. **About you** You will need to have a c class licence and be comfortable and able to work underground in a team environment, whilst demonstrating strong communication and organisational skills enabling you to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
