**The Opportunity**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Boilermaker to join the team at Wales, Adelaide.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and reliability of heavy vehicles. Your exceptional welding and fabrication skills will be instrumental in maintaining, repairing, and customizing these vehicles to the highest standards. **Responsibilities**:
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks on heavy vehicles, including trucks, buses, and specialized equipment.
- Interpret technical drawings and plans to execute precise welding and fabrication processes.
- Repair damaged vehicle components, frames, and structural elements to restore full functionality.
- Fabricate and install custom parts, accessories, and modifications to meet specific vehicle requirements.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify structural issues and assess the extent of repairs needed.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols throughout all welding and fabrication activities.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any relevant notes.
**Does this sound like you?**
- Proven experience and qualifications as a Boilermaker or Welder, preferably in heavy vehicle or automotive industries.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Knowledge of different metals, alloys, and their properties to determine appropriate welding methods.
- Skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools related to welding and fabrication.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet repair and maintenance deadlines.
- Excellent understanding of safety procedures and protocols related to welding and heavy equipment.
