Riggers - Telecommunications

The Company:
Skyaus Infrastructure is one of Australia’s leading telecommunications contracting services companies. We design, build, supply and maintain wireless, and copper networks and products for the region’s leading operators and provide infrastructure solutions for the telecommunications sector working on major 5G and IBC rollouts.

We are currently seeking experienced personnel who can join our team, this role includes both metropolitan projects and working away from home in remote areas and possible interstate for short periods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installing, maintaining, repairing and analyzing faults of telecommunication systems such as microwave, radio, in built coverage networks, telemetry, multiplexing, satellite, wireless and other communication systems.
- Arranging and integrating network and telecommunications technology with computer software, hardware, desktops, peripherals, databases and operating systems
- Carry out rigging works in the installation of steelwork on structures, including the requirement to climb poles, rooftops, towers and masts.
- Carry out microwave installations and commissioning including a comprehensive understanding of the Antenna systems involved, including installation of feeders, antennas, hyperflex cables, RRU’s and ancillary equipment.
- Work with cranes, cherry pickers and EWP's as required to carry out works on site
- Liaising with vendors, suppliers, service providers and external resources and monitoring contractual obligations and performance delivery
- Providing ongoing operational support in designing, optimizing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and resolving of telecommunications network performance malfunctions, defects and faults
- Ensure that works are conducted safely, timely and with high degree of quality thus preventing rework and bringing projects within budget.
- This is a field-based role and requires the occupant to be able to follow instructions and work to a high standard.
- Must be able use testing equipment and demonstrate that they are able to read technical, field construction drawings and work instructions.

**Requirements**:
EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum 5 year’s experience in the Telecommunication field.
- Possess sound technical knowledge of the relevant aspects of the various networks and the work practices required by the client.
- Excellent communication skills to interpret the meaning of complex written, spoken and diagrammatic procedures and to ensure all staff are clearly instructed on procedures, policies and targets
