We are expanding Due to increasing demand for support in Home & Community Care services, our team in the Logan area is looking for **casual employees.**
The role of a Home Care Employee is varied and offers flexible work hours. Whether you're experienced or just starting out, there are plenty of opportunities to gain valuable on-the-job experience while you pursue your passion for quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- ** Personal Care**: Assist with daily tasks such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and hygiene to ensure clients' comfort, dignity, and well-being. (Cert III in Individual Support required.
- ** Household Assistance**: Support clients with cleaning, meal preparation, and general household tasks to maintain a safe and tidy living environment.
- ** Transportation**: Drive clients to medical appointments, shopping, and social activities, ensuring they can access essential services and maintain their independence.
- ** Social Engagement**: Foster social interaction and provide companionship, offering emotional support to improve clients' quality of life and overall well-being.
**To be successful in this role, you will need the following**:
**Essential Skills**:
- Effective communication skills
- An empathic and caring approach
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Access to a fully maintained and insured vehicle
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Competency with smartphones/tablets or willingness to learn
- Physical fitness for manual handling and extended periods of standing/sitting
**Qualifications**:
- Qualified Home Care Employee: Certificate III in Individual Support (essential)
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR or willingness to obtain
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver’s License
