**Introduction**:
About the role

This position works within CRCS’s Aged Care program and is responsible for supporting older people who meet the criteria of the Commonwealth Home Support Program and Home Care Package programs. The program is inclusive and provides opportunities for participants to be as independent as possible. Assistance required relates to all tasks associated with Domestic Assistance including but not limited to:

- house cleaning (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting) - clothes washing and ironing - dishwashing - sweeping verandas - Cleaning of bathrooms & toilets - washing of household linen - shopping (unaccompanied) - bill paying (unaccompanied) - meal preparation

**Description**:
Essential qualifications, skills and experience
- First Aid Certificate
- Completed or working towards Certificate Ill in Individual Support (Ageing)
- Relevant experience / on-the-job training commensurate with the requirements of work in this level
- Ability to undertake physical activities relevant to the duties mentioned above, including but not limited to lifting and bending
- Current driver's and access to a road worthy and comprehensively insured vehicle is compulsory

**CRCS also requires all employees to**:

- Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
- Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may effect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position.
