**What You Will Be Doing**
The Acute Rehabilitation Program is a multidisciplinary service that provide early rehabilitation in an acute hospital setting.
The successful applicant will join a team of allied health assistants working together to providing support to deliver allied health services and therapy under the delegation and guidance of the Allied Health professionals.
This role will have potential opportunity to work across all allied health areas within our team including Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social work, Physiotherapy, Dietetics and Clinical Psychology as required.
This position will also be responsible for supporting the continuation of therapy programs prescribed by Allied Health professionals across the weekend days to enable continuity of rehabilitation programs.
**What You Need**
We are seeking applicants who are available and interested in working one or both of the weekend days (Saturday and/ Or Sunday).
applicants who only have availability for 1 weekend shift are still encouraged to apply.
We anticipate you will have:
- Minimum qualification of Certificate III level from RTO, or equivalent (grade 2)
- Experience working in a health care or community setting as a student or AHA
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to learn and use new skills
- Willingness to take direction and feedback
- Developing leadership skills
- Well developed organisation, time management, planning and priority setting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understand the basic theoretical principles of the work undertaken by the relevant AHPs
- Understanding of normal development and medical conditions, as relevant to the role
- Well developed computer skills including use of Microsoft programs (e.g. Excel, Outlook)
