Hope and Wellbeing Care services are expanding and looking for a Disability Support Worker that will provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and participation in daily life.
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Support mobility, including lifting, transferring, and using mobility aids.
- Administer medications under supervision.
- Provide meal preparation and feeding assistance.
- Support clients with household tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
- Accompany clients to appointments and community activities.
- Encourage engagement in social and recreational activities.
- Assist with developing independence and life skills.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Follow NDIS and workplace health and safety (WHS) guidelines.
- Monitor and report changes in client health and well-being.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of client care.
- Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and support teams.
- Follow care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical care practices.
- Experience: Prior experience in disability, aged care, or community support is desirable
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Must have - Compliance: Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, First Aid & CPR certification, Covid 19 certificate, Infection Control Certificate, Assist Client with Medication Training Certificate, Car Registration, Comprehensive Car Insurance.
- Facilitating Community Inclusion: Enabling participants to engage in community activities, pursue their interests, and build social connections.
- Providing Person-Centered Support: Tailoring support to individual needs and preferences, respecting autonomy and promoting self-determination.
- Developing Social Skills: Supporting individuals to develop and practice social skills.
- Being a Trusted Confidant: Being a person that participants can trust and depend on.
- Driving Positive Change: Contributing to a team that is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
- Certificate 3 in individual care or 12 months experience.
- Understand Mental Health and have empathy.
- Mental health certificate 4 desirable.

Pay is based on the SCHADS award, relevant to your experience and the standard of care you are able to provide and dependent upon time of day/day of week.

$31.46-$46.59

12 hours a week, short shifts to start with.
