We are seeking a patient and compassionate support worker to join our team and provide care as well as emotional and practical assistance to our clients. In this role, you'll make a significant difference in the quality of life for the people and families that you work with.

Initially it is a temporary job, but it is possible to stay and contribute more to the clients and company.

As a Aged/Disability Support Worker with Able Koala, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day care of our elderly Participants or with physical disabilities and/or mental illness. Our team have to enable our participants to reach their full potential by helping them achieve their individual goals.

Shifts are located at our Group home, you will be working with one more Support Worker.

Weekdays and weekends:
Support workers needed for different shifts (morning, afternoon and night shifts):
Behavioural challenges

Accurate data recording and form completion

Personal Care

Meal Preparation

The roster will be rotating, including some weekend work.

Skills and Requirements:
Mental Health experience is highly favourable but not required.

Excellent work ethic, strong oral communication skills.

Have an empathetic and person-centered approach when supporting our Participants in their own home and/or out in the community. Treat them how you would treat your own family member.

Having a background in Support Work / Nursing and/or experience supporting a variety of NDIS participants with mental illness, intellectual and physical disabilities.

Essential Criteria:
Must be vaccinated for COVID-19.

Must be willing to provide personal care.

Must own an insured vehicle and be willing to utilize said vehicle in supporting participants.

Must have some form of experience in Disability, Mental Health, or Aged Care.
