**Allied Health Assistant (AHA) Grade 3 Position Available**

Based in the Physiotherapy Department at Dandenong Hospital (Acute) - join our team in a full time ongoing capacity This role is currently based primarily on the acute orthopaedic ward, where you’ll work closely with Physiotherapists to support the care and rehabilitation of acute inpatients. You’ll also contribute to multi-disciplinary care, collaborating with Occupational Therapy to deliver holistic, patient-centred services.

**About the Role**

We are excited to offer this opportunity to join the acute Physiotherapy Allied Health Assistant team. This is a great opportunity to join a high performing team that offers support and promotes growth. The Grade 3 AHA is responsible for the provision of assistance to Physiotherapists and other Allied Health professionals. They perform work of a general nature under the delegation and supervision of allied health professionals including, but not limited to, the following:

- Work with direct supervision to implement therapeutic and related activities, in individual and group settings
- Provide clinical assistance to Allied Health professionals implementing therapy programs in consultation with the Allied Health Professionals
- Provide non-clinical assistance to Allied Health professionals including but not limited to administrative and cleaning duties

As part of the Allied Health team, you will be expected to work in clinical areas onsite, and across sites, as required.

**About You**

**What you need**:

- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- Minimum 3 years’ experience (full time equivalent)
- Relevant experience working as an AHA in a health care setting preferred
- A current Australian Drivers Licence
