Our client based in **Laverton** are a leading chemical and ingredients distributor who bring only the best quality materials to customers globally.

We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking and **experienced Chemical Batch Operato**r with a positive attitude and outlook.

You will be responsible for the setting up and the operation of equipment to perform processing operations in connection, filling, mixing, and decanting of products and the receipt and despatch of bulk goods.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly experienced and motivated team, offering five days a week on offer, with day shifts and occasional overtime as required.

Dangerous Goods experience (highly desirable)

**Your Responsibilities are as follows, but not limited**:

- Mix chemical blends to varying concentrations as per specifications.
- Check that the correct labelling for the distribution of the proper goods to ensure they are despatched correctly.
- Filling and decanting packaged goods.
- Current Forklift Counterbalance License (desirable)
- Receiving and loading bulk loads. Accept delivery, unload, sorts, or checks goods received for quality, quantity, type, or sizes.
- Ensures stock rotation and stock counts are completed.
- Follow all Food safety and hygiene procedures
- Production area housekeeping - ensures that rubbish is picked up and the general area is kept clear of hazards.
- Abide by company procedures and highlight items that could lead to operational efficiencies.

**What you need**:

- Abide by instructions given by the Production Manager / supervisor.
- Ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time with mínimal errors.
- Ability to work in a safe manner ensuring your own personal safety and that of others.
- Ability to identify safety issues to management / supervisor.
- Physically fit and able to perform regular manual handling duties (required)
- Ensure safe operations and procedures are adhered to, including maintaining a clean work area.
- Reliability and great eye for detail

**Qualifications**
- Proficient computer/ clerical experience
- Preferably experienced with **dangerous goods**:

- Current Forklift Counterbalance License (desirable)

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Laverton VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Batch Operations: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Full Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
