**Role Description/Criteria**

St Thomas Parish Primary School is located on the Bellarine Peninsula in Drysdale and caters for children from the Parishes of Drysdale, Leopold, Portarlington and St Leonards.

We are currently seeking teachers who are able to demonstrate:

- A Commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and to the safety and well-being of all students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a team and a willingness to be flexible
- The capacity to build and sustain positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
- The ability to differentiate their teaching and make adjustments according to student needs
- An understanding of the curriculum and the skills of an effective teacher
- Effective use and understanding of ICT in education.
- Strong classroom management and a talent for promoting positive student behaviour.
- An understanding of and a commitment to sustainability and natural resource management.

Special Requirements

The successful applicant must have:

- Current VIT Registration
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school
