Hedgemen has a rare opening for a new 1st or 2nd year Parks and Gardens Apprentice

The position available would suit either:

- A person seeking to commence a new or continue an existing apprenticeship
- A school leaver with a strong interest in horticulture & gardens
- An experienced gardener or landscape gardener looking to gain a qualification

Applicants will need to demonstrate:

- An horticultural aptitude & interest
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Follow instruction & show initiative
- Applicants will also need a current driver's license

Employment offered under the Gardening and Landscaping Services Award [MA000101].

Punctuality, honesty, enthusiasm, and a friendly, respectful disposition are key to being successful in this role. Capacity to undertake labour intensive work in various weather conditions is essential.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Lawn mowing (ride on and self propelled)
- Whipper snipping/brush cutting
- Hedging
- Weed eradication (Hand and Chemical)
- Mulching
- Blowing
- Collecting rubbish
- Turfing
- Planting
