**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud services, to support the company's operations effectively, including managing big data sets and any required data migration.
- Managing a wide range of IT tasks from setting up and closing accounts, managing access, hardware purchasing and provisioning, implementing data management and governance plans including backup protocols and ensuring systems and solutions meet company needs.
- Support other staff with IT troubleshooting & resolution as required.
- Support the HoIS in detecting and respond to security threats, including malware, phishing, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to ICT operations, data privacy, CI/CD & DevSecOps, and information security.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of ICT assets, configurations, and procedures.
- Train staff on best practices and technology implementations.
- Contribute to a positive team culture and foster a collaborative working environment.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT management, preferably in a tech startup or a technology-driven environment.
- Strong technical expertise in IT support, server administration (Windows and Linux), database design, and cloud computing. Certifications/credentials in Cloud Security and DevSecOps are a bonus, but not a necessity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to the IT needs of the organisation.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and a willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
