The Peter Moyes Centre is dedicated to supporting the learning and developmental needs of boys with a wide range of special and complex educational needs, including severe language impairment, Autism, Downs Syndrome, and intellectual and multiple disabilities. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher - Special Needs to join our vibrant and supportive Preparatory School team.
As a Teacher in the Peter Moyes Centre, you will play a pivotal role in providing individualised education plans and fostering a learning environment that encourages growth, inclusion, and achievement for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
The successful applicant will support the ethos of the School, possess excellent teaching and interpersonal skills, will have an exceptional understanding of innovative educational pedagogy and show an understanding of boys’ educational teaching and learning practices, particular in Special Needs education.
It is an expectation of the School that all members of staff contribute to the co-curricular program in a way that balances the needs of the School and the successful applicant’s talents and interests.
A commitment to ongoing professional development and the ability to collaborate positively and effectively with colleagues are also key attributes for success in this role.
