
Ethical Sourcing Advisor

The **Ethical Sourcing Advisor** will be responsible to ensure **KB Food Co’s** operations and procedures comply with all legal requirements, internal policies, customers’, and industry standards related to social responsibility and environmental management.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Ensure KB’s practices, policies and procedures are complying and up to date with relevant international, federal, state, and local statutory in both social responsibility and environmental compliance requirements
- Assisting KB in developing, managing, and implementing social responsibility policies using guidance from international standards such as ILO, ETI, OECD, SMETA, amfori BSCI, SA8000 etc.
- Provides the guidance and recommended practices while ensuring an organization is compliant with local laws and regulations and providing value to stakeholders
- Work closely with the Procurement team and the Supplier Assurance Manager on closing gaps with suppliers on their social compliance requirements and work with suppliers in rectifying any issues found
- Review and evaluate company procedures and reports to identify hidden risks or common issues
- Support the business in publishing legislative documents such as Modern Slavery statement etc. and manage the progress on the derived agreed actions
- Perform periodic audits on company procedures and processes
- Discuss emerging social responsibility and environmental compliance issues with management or employees
- Develop training packages for KB and deliver training on any good social responsibility and environmental practices
- Conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues
**Skills and experience**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Environment, Sustainability or Risk related discipline
- Internal/Lead Auditing on Social responsibility and/or environmental systems
- Good level of experience in ethical sourcing /social compliance requirements, have worked with International Labour Organisations, ETI, SMETA, BSCI, SA8000 etc.
- Good level of experience in managing and improving social compliance of domestic and international supply chains
- Extensive knowledge in environmental standard requirements
- Excellent experience executing ethical sourcing audit program
- Great technical skills in comprehending and communicating legislative, customer’s requirements on ethical sourcing /social compliance and environmental requirements.
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective organizational skill; Able to manage priorities and complexities
- High level of verbal and written communication skills
- High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to effectively communicate and respond to the concerns of managers, subordinates, and regulatory agencies
- Be adaptable, flexible, and resilient with the ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to drive change
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills

**Salary**: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

**Experience**:
- Environmental services: 3 years (preferred)
- sustainability or risk related discipline: 3 years (preferred)
- internal auditing: 3 years (preferred)
- Compliance management: 1 year (preferred)
