Diesel Fitter

**Inspect, Monitor and Maintain**

Hanson is one of Australia’s leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel and road base from a number of locations across Australia. We are currently looking to recruit an experienced **Maintenance/Diesel Fitter** to work on both our Fixed and Mobile Plant, within the **Glasshouse Mountains Quarry**, located on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. This is a permanent, full time opportunity, Monday to Friday with overtime as required.

**In your new role, you will be**:

- Determining vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts
- Keeping equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules
- Fixed Plant Maintenance - from servicing to rebuilds
- Attending vehicle breakdowns and conduct roadside repairs as necessary

**This role is a great fit for you, if**:

- Be a Trade Qualified Diesel Mechanic/Heavy Vehicle
- Hold a Safety Construction Industry CPCCOH1001A (white card)
- Have good communication skills (written and oral)
- Have the ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised
- Have the ability to recognise problems/issues, analyse, formulate and implement appropriate solutions
- Possess a strong process/task orientation
- Current HR drivers licence. (preferred)
- Previous Quarry experience and/or a sound knowledge of Heavy Equipment & Crushing and Screening equipment would be advantageous
