**More about what you'll do**

You will be responsible for NSW (Sydney) fleet, managing daily runs for local metro deliveries. Your focus will be in managing costs and improving efficiencies while maintaining a high level of customer service, analysing data and identifying concerns and areas for improvement, continuously looking at ways to innovate.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Working Monday - Friday 4.00am - 1.00pm
- Plan and supervise daily deliveries for a fleet of approximately 40 drivers
- Ensure all drivers sort and load in a timely and safe manner to ensure a prompt departure
- Respond to daily transport enquiries from internal teams and customers in an efficient and effective manner
- Proactively identify transport operational issues, potential problems and opportunities, and determine corrective actions where required
- Build and foster successful business relationships with key stakeholders
- Pre-empt seasonal increases in volume and adapt to sudden spikes
- Be able to implement change with limited disruption
- Monitor transport budget to ensure costs are effectively controlled
- Report on transport division activities and results for Management reporting purposes
- Ensure drivers comply with Company OH&S policies and procedures with a safety first mindset

**About You**

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate the skills below:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in your area of responsibility in a fast-moving transport environment, or at COS
- Experience of working with various Warehouse/Transport management systems
- Basic understanding of COR and load restraint legislation
- Knowledge of broad Sydney metro area desirable
- Willingness to remain hands-on whilst commencing your leadership journey
- Exceptional organisational skills and time management skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure
- Excellent numerical, verbal and written communication skills
