Vertical Blind

**Job Summary**:
The Vertical Blinds & Textile specialist is responsible for, _**Sets up, adjusts and maintains industrial or domestic sewing machines.**_This role also includes fabric cutting, fabric sewing, quality checking, and preparing products for delivery or installation. The role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and knowledge of tools and materials used in têxtile manufacturing.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Fabrication & Assembly**:

- Measure and cut of fabric/têxtile slats, and other components to precise dimensions.
- Assemble vertical blinds using tools and machinery (e.g., punch presses, riveters, sewing machines).
- Attach carriers, chains, cords, and weights as required.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect components and finished blinds for defects or inconsistencies.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications and company standards.
- Fabric ordering, stocktake and replenishment for orders
- Stock control by understanding fabrics, lengths and volumes minimising wastage
- **Customization**:

- Follow custom order sheets to build blinds to specific sizes, colors, and têxtiles.
- Work with fabrics and other materials.
- **Maintenance & Safety**:

- Maintain tools, workstations, and machinery in good working order.
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- **Packaging & Dispatch**:

- Package completed blinds for safe transport.
- Label and organize finished products for shipping or installation.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Experience in têxtile manufacturing or assembly (preferred).
- Ability to use measuring tools and hand/power tools accurately.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic math and reading skills for interpreting orders and measurements.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
