**Maintenance/Handyperson**

We are currently searching for an experienced and hands-on Maintenance/Handyperson to join the team at Quality Hotel Robertson Gardens.

You will be joining a team who takes pride in the work they do and who takes on the responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of the maintenance needs of the property.

Our property is based on 10 acres of beautiful gardens which are the pride and joy of the owner. We are proudly family owned and have been here since 1988.

The Maintenance/Handyperson must:

- Have sound knowledge of a range of general handywork such as plastering, plumbing, carpentry and painting.
- Be able to get on the tools as required.
- Carry out work and preventative maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
- Have exceptional eye for detail, ensuring all rooms, public areas and grounds are presented to a high standard.
- Have strong communication skills and ability to liaise with contractors.
- Be confident working individually and working with members of different teams and departments.
- Maintain occupational health and safety requirements by ensuring that work is carried out safely and securing all areas of work at all times.
- Be proactive and be able to identify issues before they arise.
- Be Presentable to guests and able to be customer facing when required.

Examples of duties (but not limited to) will include:

- Responding to guest requests
- Minor Plumbing
- Tuning TV's
- Patching Walls
- Cleaning Air conditioners
- Programming and replacing door locks
- Preventative maintenance
- General cleaning and ground maintenance

About you:

- Experienced Maintenance/Handyperson
- Experience with various trades / skills such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting etc. is favourable
- Operates clean and orderly work area to be free from hazards
- Friendly and approachable
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrate good time management and project management skills
- Have current manual drivers license.
- Physically able and fit
- Ability to lift/carry heavy items
- Able to use hand and power tools
- Be able to work autonomously
