Construction Worker

Our highly experienced team at the City of Canning takes pride in what we do and believes in looking after one another and our community. **The roles we have available**:
We are currently seeking Construction Workers to assist with both the maintenance and construction of our road network, ensuring that we provide our community with improved service and safer roads.

If you have an education or any prior experience in construction works, concrete works or roadworks maintenance, including footpaths and drainage, this role could be perfect for you.

**_ In this role, you will undertake duties such as:_**
- Annual maintenance and construction programs of the City's road network
- Daily planning and safety discussions
- Operate Medium Rigid vehicles
- Operate power tools, plant, and equipment

**Skills & Experience**:

- Medium Rigid driver's licence (or willing to obtain within 6 months, funded by the City)
- Construction and maintenance plant tickets (or willing to obtain, funded by the City).
- White Card
- Desire to upskill your experience in construction, roadworks, drainage maintenance, road maintenance/bitumen works and concrete works.
- Basic Traffic Management Certificate (or willing to obtain, funded by the City)
- Able to work collaboratively and safely in a team environment
- Current satisfactory National Police Certificate
