The Role

We have an exciting permanent full-time position available to join our Engineering Educational Delivery team at TAFE Queensland SkillsTech.

As a TAFE Teacher in Engineering, you have the opportunity to influence the careers of future industry persons by sharing your extensive industry knowledge to students in a classroom or other educational setting.

This position reports to the relevant Business Manager and Educational Team Leader.

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must possess

MEM30219 - Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting & Machining) or equivalent and the following:

- current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
- current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
- evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
- current Queensland Driver's licence

Highly Desirable
- MEM40119 Certificate IV in Engineering
- High level of digital literacy skills
- Previous training/teaching experience

Trade experience in.
- Manual and CNC Machining
- CAD/CAM
- Hydraulics and Pneumatics

Additionally, to become a TAFE Queensland teacher you must hold, or be willing to obtain, a qualification in adult education. Primarily this qualification is TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent.

Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
