Reporting to the Catering Chef, the Kitchen Attendant helps create an exceptional guest experience through food.

Based at Merrylands, at the Cruise Cafe & Bar, the Kitchen Attendant supports the onsite Catering Team with day-to-day kitchen operations to prepare and deliver high quality food for our incredible experiences including our Great Barrier Reef Adventure, Half and Full Day Whitehaven Beach, Camira Sailing Adventure and overnight Reefstays at Reefworld - a permanently moored pontoon, located 39 nautical miles offshore on the Great Barrier Reef. The Kitchen Attendant also helps with catering operations for resort connections, private charters, and special events.

In addition to guest satisfaction, the Kitchen Attendant helps maintain a high standard of food safety and hygiene. Duties include washing dishes, keeping the workspace clean and tidy, and assisting with delivery of stores and stock control.

Part time and casual opportunities may be available.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you must have availability to work rostered shifts generally from 2:00pm until midnight pending on peak periods. You will be a self-motivated multi tasker with great energy. Displaying strong interpersonal skills you will become an integral part of the catering team. You will take pride in your ability to;

- Maintain a high standard of food safety and hygiene

**Requirements**:

- Responsible Service of Alcohol
- Driving License
- Previous experience working within kitchen environments ( highly regarded)
- Basic knife skills, self motivated,ability to work flexible hours
- Have a true passion for high-quality food with a real commitment to delivering the best standards of food, ensuring our guests leave with lasting memories
- Know your stuff, be a real multi-tasker, preferably have relevant experience with strong food preparation and general kitchen skills and of course, a desire to advance your career in the kitchen
- Have an energy that's dynamic and you have fun when you work - your smile will say it all

Pay: $21.38 - $37.14 per hour
