Snowy Mountains Christian School (SMCS) is a co-educational K-10 school. It is located in Cooma which has a rich history of engineering and culture due to the Snowy-Mountains Hydro-Electric Scheme and is just over one hour from the NSW Ski Fields, the Sapphire Coast and Canberra.

SMCS is a ministry of Cooma Baptist Church providing an excellent Christ-focused education to the Snowy-Monaro Region for over 25 years.

The Role

This is primarily a technical support, technical escalation and training role aimed at assisting staff and students to make the best possible use of computer-based technologies for learning.

Negotiable start date.

ICT Service Delivery

Deliver ICT Services in line with SMCS Policies and Procedures including, but not limited to:

- Provide technical support for SMCS staff and students
- Ensure all Service Desk jobs are prioritised and actioned in a timely manner
- Assist in the management and use of hardware including digital and audio / visual devices
- Assisting in configuration, deployment and maintenance of the operating environment
- Ensure that tasks are escalated or assigned to a third party service providers, where applicable and in line with Financial Administrator
- Knowledge of the system, and ways to keep safe or improve the operating environment, staff and students, where possible.
- Develop and maintain documentation and electronic resources to promote the use of ICT
- Be informed regarding current developments in ICT and communicate these to the Financial Administrator
- Undertake formal and informal training to improve skill set in hardware/software used by the School, in line with current priority of tasks and needs of the school
- Successful applicants would:

- Have the ability to work independently and show initiative and common sense
- Have a keen interest in working on larger IT projects and rollouts
- Have sound knowledge with Microsoft 365 online suite
