**About the Role**:
The Manager, Misconduct and Disciplinary Advice is accountable for the management, leadership and coordination of the department’s disciplinary advice function related to allegations of serious employee misconduct and/or criminal matters within the Incident Management Directorate (IMD).

As part of the IMD Leadership, the Manager contributes direction and oversight of allegations of serious employee misconduct and their initial assessment. The work is challenging and highly sensitive, and staff within the directorate must maintain high levels of confidentiality, professionalism and ethical conduct.

The Manager provides highly skilled management and leadership of the Misconduct and Disciplinary Advice unit, through effective planning, decision making and team development, which determines operational policy and procedures for the work unit.

**Desirable** **Qualifications**:

- Legal or para legal experience.
- Adjudication or employment law Legal services or Law Degree Qualification
- **Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
MAS3 $127,859 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation.**
