**Hours per week**: 38
**Remuneration**: Band 2 salary from $73,668.75 per annum plus superannuation and a fortnightly RDO
**Location**: Hoppers Crossing based
**About the role**
You will join a well-developed team and take responsibility for the care of plant, tools and equipment, including fuel, lubrication and fluid levels, cordless charging and maintenance as required. Each day may start a little differently depending on what is required but you will generally work on maintaining regulatory and advisory street signs, as well as other road furniture.
**What your day will look like**
- Completing allocated tasks in maintaining road signs and furniture
- Aligning to safe work standards and incorporating health and safety guidelines
- Making a positive contribution to the successful operation of the Civil Maintenance Department
- Operating of small plant equipment
**What you will bring**
- HR truck license (to 13.9T) (required)
- Competence in sign and guide post maintenance and traffic control
- Competence in use of small plant, e.g. Generators, drills, grinders, etc.
- Understanding of relevant Australian Standards & Codes of Practice relating to works on roads and sign maintenance/installation
- Certificate III in Civil Construction (Desirable)
If you progress past the interview stage, you may be required to complete pre-employment screening, which may include police checks, a medical, qualification verification, and an Australian work rights check.
