AWS Integration Engineering Manager

**Primary purpose of the role**
The role will lead a new team to develop policy, standards, templates and components to enact the strategy/architecture and ensure the existing ICC team understand and are able to utilise these policy, standards, templates and components.

**Responsibilities**:

- Developing policy, standards and templates:

- Documentation lifecycle
- Systems development lifecycle
- Technical requirements for new projects
- Coordinate and manage the work of an AWS Integration Engineering team to delivering governance and infrastructure to a wider team.
- Provide technical leadership and manage technical risks with the team’s deliverables.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings on work created by the team.
- Work well with delivery managers and other team members to achieve the best outcomes given a number of constraints.
- Cultivate a healthy team culture centred on department values.
- Understanding the business processes and requirements of a large complex organisation.
- Working with existing legacy solutions and uplifting them with little downtime.
- Ensuring the existing team understand and can utilise any new patterns that are developed.
- Managing large numbers of stakeholders including EA, procurement, CloudOps, vendors.
- Managing a team of highly technical specialists.

**Requirements**:

- Experience leading a team of technical specialists.
- Demonstrated experience delivering results in enterprise level digital transformation projects.
- Extensive experience designing AWS serverless solutions including CDK and Typescript.
- Strong software engineering skills and understanding of best practice including DevOps and automated testing.
- Experience documenting policy and standards to ensure best practice in systems development.
- Experience working in large corporate or government organisations.
- Solid understanding of information processing fundamentals and best practices in a distributed cloud-native environment.
- Above-average analytical, conceptual and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong standards-based documentation skills.
- Experience conducting technology, trends, standards and products research.
- Ability to work with incomplete information and synthesise solutions based on multiple non-deterministic sources.
- Experience providing guidance and leadership to experienced systems engineers on new technology.
- Proven experience identifying, analysing and resolving system problems.
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively.
- Ability to track and report on deliverables.
- Demonstrated strong relationship building skills.
- Experience developing in an object orientated language, especially Java.
- Experience with systems integration projects.
