If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Disability Support Worker dedicated to working with our School Leavers

This role will involve providing guidance and support to help the individual explore their interests and develop the necessary skills for a successful transition into the workforce.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the customer in identifying their strengths, interests, and potential career paths.
- Assist the customer in researching and exploring a range of employment opportunities that align with their interests and abilities.
- Develop an individualised employment plan based on the customer's goals, capabilities, and preferences.
- Collaborate with employers to create job placement opportunities and advocate for the customer's specific needs and accommodations.
- Support the customer in building essential workplace skills, such as communication, time management, and problem-solving.
- Provide ongoing guidance and mentorship to promote confidence and independence.
- Monitor and evaluate customer progress, identify barriers to employment, and implement strategies to overcome challenges
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of customer interactions, progress, and outcomes

What you will need for this role:

- Previous experience working in disability support or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- A genuine passion for helping individuals with disabilities overcome barriers to employment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with the customer and their support network.
- Ability to think creatively and identify potential opportunities for the customer's career development.
- Strong organisational skills to assist in developing individualised employment plans and tracking progress.
- Ability to assess customer needs, identify barriers, and develop tailored employment plans

Essential Criteria:

- NDIS workers screening
- Full Drivers licence and own vehicle
- Fully Comprehensive vehicle insurance
- First Aid training
- Working with Children Card

**Salary**: From $29.86 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 3 per week

- NDIS workers screening (preferred)
