**Your New Role**:
The FIC Quantitative & Derivative Strategies (QDS) Team is responsible for the research, development, and management of systematic investment strategies.

As a Quantitative Developer, you will work closely with other Quantitative Developers, Portfolio Managers and Researchers to design, build, and maintain the software and infrastructure that support the research and implementation of strategies across rates, currencies, commodities, and volatility asset classes.

This role reports to the Portfolio Manager, Quantitative & Derivative Strategies

**Key duties include but are not limited to**:

- Contribute to the development and testing of software libraries for derivative pricing, risk modelling and the implementation of systematic investment strategies.
- Collaborate closely with quantitative developers, researchers and portfolio managers to implement innovative software and infrastructure solutions that align with business goals.
- Assist with the management of software deployments to mitigate risk, ensure seamless releases, and provide production support when necessary.
- Develop and implement programmatic automation for recurring tasks, and assist with the design of scalable data pipelines to streamline workflows, improve operational efficiency, and maintain data accuracy and integrity.

**What You’ll Need**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Genuine passion for technology and software development, with a continuous drive to innovate and improve.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, with a preference for Python experience as the primary codebase is written in Python.
- Experience as a quantitative developer within a financial institution, with some understanding of financial markets, derivative instruments, and risk models desirable.
- Familiarity with SQL database management and schema design to support efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
- More than 2 years’ experience as a quantitative developer.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages. Our main body of code is written in Python.
- Experience with the management of SQL databases.
- Experience building CI/CD Pipelines.Experience with the Azure platform is desirable but not necessary.
