Council is seeking **hardworking and motivated Gardeners **to join our **Parks & Gardens team within our Open Space department**.
**About the role**:
You will be required to carry out all garden maintenance and renovations to Council parks, reserves, traffic facilities, planter boxes, commercial centres, high profile areas and private works, such as but not limited to:
- Grass maintenance
- Planting of trees, shrubs and annuals,
- Pruning and trimming of trees and shrubs,
- Watering and fertilising of plants,
- Weed eradication
- Collection of litter etc.
- Operation of minor plant including (but not limited to) mower, secateurs, pruners, loppers, chainsaws, hedges, pole saw, Vacuum blower and Whipper-snipper.
**About the person**:
We seek individuals who have:
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour
- Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent and combined with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- A current Driver’s Licence (MR Licence preferred)
- WorkCover accredited Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Previous experience in a similar position and a Chemical Users Certificate and Traffic Control Certificate (Blue) will be highly regarded.
**What’s on offer**
We are offering competitive remuneration between **$56,027.31 - $64,431.40 per annum + allowance + Super.** We also offer excellent employee benefits which include:
