Despatch Supervisor

Oji Fibre Solutions, one of the world’s largest fibre packaging manufacturers, requires a driven Despatch Supervisor to join the Supply Chain team at our packaging plant in Lansvale NSW. Our Lansvale site specialises in the manufacture of corrugated boxes which play an important part in the presentation, protection, and transportation of customer products in the Horticulture, Meat, Industrial, FMCG and Paper Products segments.

As the Despatch Supervisor you’ll play a key role in managing an experienced forklift team, whilst you ensure smooth department operation and assisting the Distribution Manager with implementing strategies for continued improvements.

This role is fast paced, varied and has a strong focus on working relationships with management, planning, sales, customer service and production. Your primary responsibilities include:

- Leading and coaching a small despatch team
- Overall coordination of the despatch areas day to day functions
- Ensuring compliance of OH&S and workplace procedures
- Despatch planning, ensuring appropriate resources are available to meet customer’s delivery requirements
- Liaising with external transport companies
- Supplier and contractor reviews
- Managing and control of inventory

This position will provide you with plenty of opportunity to utilise your leadership, organisation and problem solving skills. You will be a highly organised, efficient and results-driven person with a strong passion for achieving delivery on time for our customers. You must be able to think on your feet, make sound decisions and have excellent communication. Prior experience in transport or logistics is essential.
