**The role**
In this role you will:
- Deal with projects across metropolitan Sydney, Regional NSW and coastal waters of the State
- Help facilitate innovative industries and new technology projects
- Establish and maintain professional working relationships with other key agencies such as the EPA, TfNSW, Sydney Water, Parkland Authorities, local Councils and Regional NSW
- Respond to new initiatives in net zero emissions, sustainable technologies and innovation such as in energy production, food growing and plastic recycling
- Assess and provide recommendations on a broad range of projects managed by the team
- Assist with new policy and legislative initiatives relevant to the role

**What you will bring to the role**
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges and adapt to evolving situations.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a willingness to contribute to group efforts and support colleagues in achieving objectives as you work collaboratively within the assessment team to deliver State significant projects.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
**What is an essential requirement**:
- Degree in environmental science or management, engineering, planning or other relevant discipline
- Willingness to travel and (minimum) Class C Driver’s License.
