Manager (Flood Risk Management)

As Manager, you will have the opportunity to contribute to and lead a number of key priorities in the Flood Risk Management (FRM) team.
- Lead and manage a specialist team that delivers a diverse range of services, providing leadership and direction in the planning and implementation of team priorities including leading the delivery of one or more of QRA's responsibilities under the Queensland Flood Risk Management Program.
- Provide expert knowledge and technical input into one or more projects and programs being delivered by the FRM team, including the Strategic Floodplain Management Plan implementation, flood risk management packages, flood awareness and capability building projects, and Flood Warning Infrastructure Network programs and projects.
- Represent QRA's position in meetings and cross-agency forums at local, district and state level.
- Lead and manage extensive engagement with Councils across Queensland.
- Develop and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with external stakeholders, particularly local governments, and other state agencies.
- Engage a range of internal stakeholders, including QRA's executive leadership team.
- Provide expert advice on a range of queries, emerging matters, policy and correspondence.
- Undertake related project duties of equivalent complexity as required.
- Lead and model a performance development culture by participating in regular one on ones with your direct reports, your colleagues and through the implementation of performance and development plans for QRA
- Lead teams to deliver strategic and operational objectives utilising your experience and judgement in accordance with QRA policies and processes.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct, all relevant WHS and HR policies, procedures, guidelines, directives, and relevant legislation.
