**Position Information**:
Rouse Hill Public School is located in the rapidly growing North West region of Sydney. A large, dynamic and student-centred school, the current enrolment of approximately 950 students, which includes a support unit consisting of one Multi-Category and three Autism classes, has increased considerably over the past three years. The teaching staff includes a mixture of experienced and early career teachers. The school caters for an increasingly culturally diverse student population, with approximately 60% of students having a language background other than English. Sixteen students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. One of four bilingual schools in NSW, all students are provided the opportunity to learn Mandarin. Our school provides extensive opportunities in sport, performing arts and extracurricular groups, and promotes a strong focus on our PBL values: Respectful, Responsible and Resilient. **Selection Criteria**:
- Approval to teach primary English as a second language or currently completing or currently enrolled in an approved postgraduate qualification for teaching English as a second language K-6 as recognised by the NSW Department of Education.
- Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with staff to support English language learning and literacy development across K-6 curriculum areas.
- Evidence of effective data driven practices to inform school directions and K-6 teaching and learning programs.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and community through whole school initiatives.
