**Your new role**
In this brand new role the Manager, Enterprise Risk Monitoring will be critical in identifying how the Fund can continue to improve its risk, control and obligation management practices. The key objective is to help evolve the Line 2 monitoring function, and approach, to independently provide value-adding advice and challenge on risk management practices across AustralianSuper’s Domains. This includes monitoring the implementation of the Enterprise Risk management framework (ERmf), to support the continued maturity of the risk culture of the Fund.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Play a leading role in developing and maintaining a Line 2 monitoring framework to guide the monitoring function in Group Risk.
- Develop an annual plan for monitoring engagements, identifying risk areas to be targeted with a deep dive review as part of the Enterprise Risk Monitoring Program (ERMP), and other areas for shorter and more targeted monitoring (Continuous Monitoring).
- Responsible for the execution of the continuous monitoring reviews, across all Domains, on behalf of Group Risk working closely with the relevant Line 2 Risk Advisors.
- Gain a sound understanding of the operations of the Domains in focus for monitoring, to support the identification of value adding and practical recommendations to Line 1.
- Draft regular reporting on monitoring outcomes to relevant stakeholders, including the Executive and directors as appropriate.
- Collaborate with other members of Group Risk to deliver accurate and insightful risk reporting where required.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to help inform and recommend changes to risk frameworks, policies, standards and procedures that impact the Fund, as a result of monitoring activities.
**What you’ll need**
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law or Industry related field.
- Strong risk management and assurance experience (6+ years), preferably gained in a Financial Services organisation.
- Line 2 role that includes monitoring.
- Internal audit, risk advisory experience.
- Strong ability to write with effect, particularly in relation to reporting for Executives, Board and Risk & Compliance Committees.
- Strong understanding of risk assessments.
- Strong understanding of control design and operating effectiveness.
