**About the role**
The Deputy Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for providing effective strategic and operational financial leadership and management. This includes preparing accurate and timely financial and commercial information for Management, the Board and external agencies.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and an integral member of the Finance Leadership Team, the Deputy Chief Financial Officer will have a significant strategic and operational impact on the organisation. Working alongside the Chief Financial Officer you will be an exceptional “hands on” leader, providing guidance and support to the Finance team.
**Key Responsibilities include**
- Preparation of monthly Management and Board reporting including P&L, Balance sheet, Cash flow and reports (including analyses and commentary)
- Preparation of the annual Budget and Forecasts
- Preparation of statutory financial statements and quarterly aged care financial report.
- Preparation of tax returns (Including: Business Activity Statement, Fringe Benefits Tax, etc.)
- Oversight of reporting and control over capital expenditure
- Oversight of Billing and Collections processes
- Oversight of the Treasury function (including Payables) by monitoring/ managing cash flows and relationship with Banks
- Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory obligations.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures. Responsible for developing and maintaining all finance policies.
- Maintain and improve financial systems, processes, procedures and internal controls.
- Co-ordinate the internal / external audit processes and liaise with auditors
- Provides leadership and development of the finance team
**About You**
- Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
- CA or CPA qualified
- Significant practical experience (10 Years plus) in a similar senior corporate role
- Experience managing a team of skilled professionals
- Aged Care experience preferred.
