Machine Operator

Due to an exciting new growth period, ForestOne are actively looking to build our workforce in our Benalla Manufacturing plant.

We are seeking dedicated, and safety - conscious individuals to join our team. As we continue to expand our operations, we have multiple opportunities in our Pressing team available for those with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.

As a part of the pressing crew, you will undertake the following tasks:

- Production of particleboard to the required standards
- Check specification sheet against press settings to ensure that the particleboard is produced in a timely and efficient manner meeting all required specifications and quality.
- Operate the press and press outfeed in accordance with current work instructions
- Check glue kitchen settings and adjust if necessary
- Complete all quality control check sheets in accordance with current procedures.
- Perform the cleaning of presses, blenders, forming stations and scales as per schedules.
- Unload the Pressline out feed when the sanding lines are unattended.
- Ensure that safety equipment and protective clothing are used at all times when required.

Some of the key skills/ experiences we are looking for are:

- experiences in working in an industrial environment or production facility.
- Strong understanding of and adherence to safety protocols and procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Adaptability and ability to work in a past paced environment.
- Ability to work within a small team, excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Numeracy skills, ability to perform board dimension checks.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Ability to work rotating shifts 24 / 7 operations.
- Ability to meet diligent standards of quality compliance.
- Computer competence in Microsoft office an advantage.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.67 - $30.11 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 40 per week
