**About the Role**

**Employment Type**:Permanent Full Time

**Location**: Logan

**Hours**:Flexible, weekdays, weeknights, weekends, public holidays as required

Life Without Barriers is proud to deliver the new Staying on Track program, part of the Queensland Government’s _Making Queensland Safe_ plan. Staying on Track supports young people aged 10-17, leaving detention to successfully return to their families and communities.

The program provides intensive, tailored support focussed on reducing re-offending and building positive pathways through education, training, employment, cultural and community connections.

As a Youth Advocate, you will provide mentoring, coaching, and outreach to young people and their families, develop and implement Individual Support Plans, attend key appointments, advocate for clients, support positive choices, help reduce offending, and build independence and resilience.

**Skills & Experience**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in Youth Justice, with willingness to complete further training._ Lived experience, and cultural knowledge will be highly regarded._
- Experience supporting young people, coaching, role modelling and developing plans to achieve goals.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients, families, and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel for outreach support.
- Commitment to completing required induction and training, including Basic Advocacy Training (BAT).
- Current Driver Licence
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate.
