**About the Role**
Due to continual business growth, CareSouth are currently seeking multiple **Casual Supervised Contact Workers** to join the **CareSouth Shoalhaven team **This position would be ideal for a person who has experience working with children and is looking to step into a casual role to suit a more flexible lifestyle.
The Supervised Contact Worker position is responsible for providing high quality supervision and guidance for visits between children and/or young persons in care and their families. This position must ensure that the child’s best interests are supported during contact.
**A day in the life of a Supervised Contact Worker**
- Facilitate safe and positive contact visits with young people and birth family members comprising of positive interactions in order to build stronger relationships.
- Complete comprehensive and accurate reports to support the visit.
- Drive young people safety to and from contact visits, school, day care and carer homes.
**About You**
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following criteria:
- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety of children, young people and people with a disability.
- Tertiary qualification or working towards in a relevant discipline e.g. social welfare, psychology, education counselling etc.
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Excellent observational and report writing skills.
- Understanding of child protection and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Sound knowledge of child development
- Ability to remain impartial at all times.
- Ability to risk assess varying situations.
- Current drivers licence, comprehensively insured vehicle, mobile phone and access to a computer.
