**About us**

The Burdett Group is a family business operating in Victoria and we pride ourselves in being "Still the Best Name in the Dirt Game" We operate several quarries and wholesale yards and are seeking a yard hand / forklift operator at our drying plant in Devon Road

This position hours will be between **7.00am - 5.00pm** **Monday - Friday** includes Overtime, _No weekend work required._

**Salary: $29 - $30 - Casual type**

**Responsibilities include**:

- Operating the forklift around the Yard. (License preferable)
- **Complete 20 kg** bagging lifts (occasional)
- Filling bulka bags
- Operating controls to align forklifts and raise and lower forks to stack and unstack
- Ensuring goods are stored in correct areas so that they can be easily located when loading trucks.
- General help in the Yard (cleanup)
- Monitoring equipment operation visually while operating the forklift.
- Carry out start up and shut down procedures and documentation daily.
- Basic maintenance and plant cleaning as required; and
- Are a team player who likes to work self-sufficiently.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks, including medical and drug and alcohol testing
- You can balance and deliver on team objectives in a safe and efficient manner following safe work practices
- Ideally have forklift experience.
