**Medical Receptionist - Experience Required**

**The Practice**

Specialist Orthopaedic Practice located on the Peninsula with a focus on quality patient care. Busy Practice with two Orthopaedic Surgeons and a GP run Carpal Tunnel Clinic.

**The Role**

Full Time Position 38-hours per week.

5-Day work-week - No Weekends

Shifts fall within the hours of 8.00am - 6.00pm. Some Flexibility Available.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Front Office Reception

Patient Bookings Including Reminders

Ensuring Patient Records Up to Date

Adhere to Privacy and Confidentiality

Recalls

Referral Tracking

Medical Typing

Invoicing of Consultations, Reports, and Third-Party Documents

Communication with WorkCover and other Third Parties

Communication with Specialists, Patients, Hospital Staff, and Referring Doctors

Scanning, Mail, and other Office Duties (Mail-Box on site)

Minimum 1-year Medical Reception Experience Preferred or Certificate III Medical Administration

Have an understanding of Department of Health, Medicare, and WorkCover processes.

Ideally, Specialist Experience, however, Hospital, GP, or Radiology will also be transferable.

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- No weekends

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Medical admin: 1 year (preferred)
