**Position description**:
We seek an enthusiastic Compliance Manager to join our vibrant Quality & Improvement department in Macquarie Park. The primary responsibility of the Compliance Manager is to ensure the Practice operates in accordance with applicable standards and complies with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

and your responsibilities will include the following:

- Ensuring all departments/laboratories meet relevant accreditation standards, including NPAAC, ISO 15189, ISO 17025, AS/NZS 4308, AS/NZS 4706, ANZSBT and TGA requirements
- Remaining abreast of relevant legislation and standards in order to provide interpretation and guidance on regulatory requirements
- Liaising with NATA and respective DHM staff to coordinate assessment activities, including the planning of scheduled and unscheduled assessments and submissions to assessment findings
- Ensuring continued Medicare registration of all DHM Laboratories as Approved Pathology Laboratories (APL)
- Coordinate TGA activities, including in-house IVD registrations, sponsor administration and incident reporting
- Develop, manage and leading the Internal Audit Programme across the Practice
- Assist in managing complaints/issues/incidents affecting patients and doctors. Ensuring appropriate action is taken and adequate documentation of events in relevant incident management & escalation systems
- Coordinating Quality Meetings with relevant departments/laboratories
- Facilitate training programs in Quality Management
- Participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives

**Qualifications and Experience**

***Minimum of 3 years working in quality management systems

**Essential Skills**
- High-level knowledge of quality management systems in the pathology setting with a commitment to patient safety and optimal outcomes, including governance frameworks, incident and risk management, audits and assurance, etc.
- Demonstrated understanding of regulatory requirements, ethical, privacy and other relevant guidelines, processes or procedures relating to quality and improvement including NPAAC, TGA, ISO 15189, ISO 17025 and other relevant standards.
- Demonstrated experience liaising with regulatory bodies such as NATA, TGA and maintaining accreditation.
- Sound auditing skills and demonstrated experience in high level auditing.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage projects independent and in a team environment.
