Housekeeping Supervisor

Pethers Rainforest Retreat is located on 5 hectares of pristine rainforest on beautiful Mt Tamborine. We have 10 luxury treehouses, a newly renovated 4 bedroom house and a first class restaurant. Our team is small, super friendly and highly motivated to provide guests with a holiday they will always remember.

The Housekeeping team is a crucial part of achieving that. Keeping rooms spotless and welcoming for guests is just as important as serving a superb dinner. It’s all part of the experience.

Purpose

As Housekeeping Supervisor, you are the driving force behind our Housekeeping team's success At the end of each day, we want the team to go home with a sense of achievement and a smile on their face knowing they have prepared the rooms to the same high standard they would want for themselves when on holiday. For our Managers and all our team, we aim to make Pethers a place where you can grow and learn and bring more meaning to your life, both at work and at home.

Primary Responsibilities
- You will support and coordinate our housekeeping team's daily activities, ensuring a smooth workflow
- Foster team motivation and growth by providing guidance and training to enhance their skills
- Maintain high cleanliness and productivity standards, aligning with company guidelines to enhance guest experience
- Efficiently allocate rooms for team members during shifts to maintain an even workload distribution
- Ensure safety standards are met, monitoring labour costs and conducting daily room inspections for quality assurance

Skills and Experience
- A sharp eye for detail and previous leadership experience in Housekeeping
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills, along with a friendly and outgoing personality
- The ability to think on your feet to keep things running smoothly throughout the day
- A high standard of personal grooming and a polished appearance
- Willingness to not only lead the team but to also work alongside them to ensure their success
- Reliable transportation and availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays
