Sarina Russo Apprenticeships has a client is a family owned and operated construction firm who specialises in architectural construction. They are not only a trade qualified carpenter and joiner, but also a licensed builder and also holds other industry qualifications. The employer will be offering some cabinet making skills such as custom joinery fabrication, kitchens/vanities/laundries. The majority of the firm's projects are located around the inner south of Canberra but can vary from time to time.
As an apprentice Carpenter you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of the trade including, carry out setting out, construct wall frames, ceiling frames, external stairs, flooring systems, install windows and doors, cladding, lining, fix outs, facades, decking & roofing. You will complete a 4 year apprenticeship whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification: Certificate III Carpentry.
You must be honest, have a good attitude, be adaptable, keen to learn and have a passion for the industry. The successful applicant will need reliable transport to get to the worksites. Preference will be given to applicants that have completed a pre-apprenticeship course in construction or carpentry. Juniors are encouraged to apply.
