**About the role**

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Program provides assessment and interventions for people of all ages experience severe and complex mental illness. Working from a recovery oriented model, clinicians and the lived experience workforce provide an array of services and supports for infants, children, youth, adults and older adults with a severe/complex mental illness. The Associate Program Director, Adult Access will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of access and emergency programs for adults seeking mental health services, ensuring timely and appropriate care, and collaborating with various stakeholders, including working closely with Eastern Health’s Emergency Department teams to enhance access and flow.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Relevant clinical qualifications and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
- Commitment to delivering on the Eastern Health promise of Healthier Together, and to living our values - respect for all, safe always, partnering in care, and learning and improving every day.
- Significant experience in a leadership role working at both the strategic and operational level within a large health service.
- Senior health sector management skills with proven ability to develop and meet strategic, operational, and budgetary objectives.
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the _Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice)_. Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment._
