The **Category Buyer** will drive category management execution on focused spend areas including retail and beverage categories. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, you will drive execution of strategic commodity plans with a high focus on strategic sourcing, integrating supply strategies with client’s business requirements and long-term strategies.

- Supplier Performance Management

**The Person**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification Economics/Business/Commerce, CIPS, IFPSM or AAPCM qualification or equivalent is highly regarded
- Experience in contract management and sourcing within an FMCG and/or formal procurement environment of at least 5 years.
- Well-developed communication and presentations skills, able to influence at all levels internally and externally
- First class analytical, communication and decision-making skills
- Customer focused
- Highly developed organisation skills
- Supplier relationship management experience
- A track record in identifying and delivering sustained cost reduction opportunities
- An ability to adapt and work at strategic / operational or transactional level
