**The opportunity**:
As the **Team Leader Line Layout Design**, you will be responsible for delivering line design services for Powerlink through both internal and external design resources, ensuring compliance with our policies, procedures, and requirements. You will have a proven track record in leading, developing, and coaching team members. Your ability to adapt and guide your team through change is crucial. You will excel in developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. By understanding and recognizing our past, you will contribute to introducing new ideas and opportunities that will help shape our future. Open, honest, and respectful discussions are essential for us to achieve our best. Your collaborative nature with peers across the business will enable your team to benefit, and the Design Solutions team to thrive.

You’ll also:

- Have the ability to monitor and ensure consistent implementation of transmission line layout design standards and specifications for both internal and outsourced designs.
- Undertake resource planning, work allocation, and coordination of both internal and outsourced resources to ensure timely design delivery.
- Undertake complex problem-solving, collaborating with team members, peers and across teams, to achieve optimal design outcomes for our projects.
- Develop team members' knowledge and skills through coaching, mentoring, and training.

As part of our Design Solutions group, you'll join a team of professionals dedicated to the delivery excellence in Transmission Lines design. Our team is comprised of passionate individuals who thrive on challenges, collaboration, innovation, and on doing the best for Powerlink and Queenslanders. We love what we do, and we appreciate the people we work, learn and have fun with. Our team collaborates within our discipline, and closely with the Transmission Line Electrical, Civil Design teams and Principal Engineers. We also work closely with, and support a variety of teams across the business. Our culture fosters continuous learning and opportunities to grow.

**What you'll bring**:

- Degree level qualifications in Engineering, or Associate Diploma in Engineering plus relevant significant experience.
