**Description**:
Take pleasure in assisting the Chef to prepare delicious meals for the children, and see the smiles on parents' faces when you hand them their fresh morning coffee.

About the Role
- Support the Centre in preparing nutritious meals, purees, and special meals for babies and children as well as assist with budgeting and costing for the kitchen when required
- Enjoy greeting people in a friendly manner and providing barista service to families (experience preferred but training provided if you are not experienced with this)
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen, in accordance with Food and Council Authority requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Solid time management skills with a high level of initiative
- Be a part of the centre's regular culinary classes with the children
- Be available and willing to step into Chef's role during any periods of absence or leave
- Be able to work 5 days a week (Monday-Friday)

**Qualifications**:

- A Hospitality related Certificate and Food Safety Certificate
- Current Working with Children's Check
- Current Child Protection Training
- Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates
- Prior experience working in a childcare or aged care kitchen (preferred, but not essential)

Green Leaves Early Learning Mawson Lakes is a two-storey early learning centre with an eco-conscious design, offering care for children from 6 weeks to school age.

As you enter our beautiful centre, you’ll find our state-of-the-art Chef’s kitchen and parent lounge, which are adjacent to two beautiful learning hubs that open out onto sensory gardens. The four remaining learning hubs, including a kindergarten room, are on the first level and feature their own outdoor play space filled with modern sustainable resources such as the very popular bike track, large timber play fort, worm farm and edible flower and vegetable gardens.

The parent lounge, an innovative space, has been introduced to help create a strong sense of community, providing educators and families with the opportunity to come together in a beautiful environment and network while enjoying a barista coffee and a freshly baked treat.

Our Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teachers will deliver our Pre-Kindy and Kindy program (4-6 years old), which is designed to support our children in developing the skills and abilities essential to achieving success in future learning environments.
